Shouta's father was a widower living in the 20th Ward with his young son, Shouta.
He was kidnapped by a gang out for revenge against Touka and Ayato Kirishima, and seriously wounded in the resulting battle. He kept Touka's secret after she spared his life, helping inspire her to begin attending school.
