Souta (宗太, Sōta) was a member of the Ghoul Restaurant, where he went by the alias PG. He hides his face with a clown mask.
It has been revealed that he is a member of the Clowns before being a member of the Ghoul Restaurant.[1]
Appearance
Souta is a fairly tall man with fair skin and brown hair. He usually wears his clown mask.
Personality
He was shown to be a very manipulative and pretensive person, like the rest of the Clowns, as seen when he lured Ami to the Gourmet restaurant.
Plot
Gourmet Arc
It was indicated that Souta was in a relationship with Ami. He lured Ami to the restaurant by promising her that he would marry her. In reality, he offered her as food, as one of the three courses of the meal, to all members of the restaurant.[2]
Aogiri Arc
After the invasion of the Aogiri hideout, he accompanied Nico then asked him if the One-Eyed King really did exist. However, Nico denied the King's existence, then explained how so after he whispered to him. He later complained about Nico ignoring him but was happy with Nico's last decision to be more active with him and the other clowns.
Anteiku Raid Arc
After Kaneki's defeat by Arima, Kaneki recalls his last moments before the steel beams fell on Rize. He remembers seeing Souta standing before them holding a peace sign before fading out of consciousness. Rize's last words to Souta were "why...are...you...".[3] After the raid, he was seen celebrating along with the other clown members.[4]
Unconfirmed Theory
The CCG'S Nimura Furuta is Speculated to be The Clown member Souta. The Clowns mole in the CCG who leaked the Auction Opertation. Both are the only characters who have used the phrase "MM" to address their superiors.
