Ryouta Sawaike (沢池 竜太, Sawaike Ryōta) was a Rank 1 Ghoul Investigator. He participated in the Auction mopping-up operation as a member of the Atou squad.
His head was ripped off by Seidou Takizawa.[1]

- Sawaike was modeled after one of the 20 winners among the applicants to the ghoul investigator recruitment campaign. He is associated with "chronicity" (慢性) in the operation reports attached to the chapters.
