Kuramoto Itou (伊東 倉元, Itō Kuramoto) is a Rank 1 Ghoul Investigator and the deputy squad leader of the Hirako Squad.

Appearance[]

Kuramoto is a young man with shaggy, light-colored hair. He wears the dark suit typical of an Investigator, and seems to always be smiling with his eyes closed. This gives him a mischievous quality.

Personality[]

Kuramoto comes across as a light-hearted and friendly individual, always smiling and making playful comments. He offers encouragement and information to Haise Sasaki, and chides his teammates for their attitudes. However, there are hints that his friendly demeanor may not be entirely genuine -- he follows up chiding his comrades by criticizing the decision to use One-Eyed Ghouls as Investigators and calls them "scary".

Plot[]

Anteiku Raid[]

Kuramoto participates during the Anteiku raid operation as a member of the squad 3, he engages in the battle against Black Dog, and finally managed to defeat her. He later regroup with the other squads, as they watch Arima encounters the Owl.

Torso Investigation[]

After the Shimoguchi, Mado, and Hirako squads finish their meeting, Kuramoto follows Haise and greets him, telling Haise that unlike Shimoguchi, he believes in sharing information with other investigators and talks about the ghoul named Serpent; who is recently hunting fellow ghouls.

Auction[]

He participates during the operation under Hirako's leadership, and confronts against the Clowns.

Power and Abilities[]

As a Rank 1 investigator and the Hirako squad's deputy squad leader, Kuramoto is proficient in combat. He has been shown to be able to hold his own against Roma Hoito, a ghoul with eight rinkaku tentacles, for a short period of time.

Trivia[]

  • His default expression, smiling widely with closed eyes, is known as "Kitsune no me" (Fox Eyes). This expression is used in Japanese media for characters that are tricksters.
